Taken from a production photograph from the film work Paradise Omeros, 2002, this edition by British artist and filmmaker Isaac Julien was created on the occasion of his 2006 exhibition at IMMA

Born in England in 1960, British artist and filmmaker Isaac Julien effortlessly breaks down the barriers that exist between different artistic disciplines, drawing from and commenting on film, dance, photography, music, theatre, painting and sculpture, and uniting these to construct a powerful visual narrative. Julien was nominated for the Turner Prize in 2001 for his films. He was the recipient of both the prestigious MIT Eugene McDermott Award in the Arts, 2001, and the Frameline Lifetime Achievement Award, 2002. His work Paradise Omeros was presented as part of Documenta XI in Kassel, 2002 and was recently acquired for the IMMA Collection. He has had solo shows at the Pompidou Centre, Paris, 2005; MoCA, Miami, 2005, and Kerstner Gesellschaft, Hanover, 2006. Julien is represented in the Tate, Centre Pompidou, Guggenheim and Hirshhorn Collections
