Alice Maher’s field of enquiry often reprises, subverts and expands mythic and vernacular narratives. Through her experimental use of materials, alongside her explorations of embodiment and identity, she investigates literary and folkloric subjects in a multi various artistic work that incorporates drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and moving image.
Paula Meehan’s award-winning poetry has garnered widespread popular and critical acclaim. Her poems have been danced, filmed, responded to by visual artists, anthologized and staged. She was Ireland Professor of Poetry, 2013–2016 and Imaginary Bonnets with Real Bees in Them, her public lectures from the Chair, are published by UCD Press. She has conducted workshops in the community, in the prisons, in recovery
programmes, and has worked extensively with emerging poets inside and outside the universities.
Dr. Sarah Kelleher is an art historian, lecturer, and curator specialising in modern and contemporary art. She completed her PhD in the History of Art at University College Cork, where her doctoral research focused on contemporary Irish sculpture. She is the co-coordinator of the MA in Contemporary Art Practice at MTU Crawford College of Art and Design.
