Feast upon the Earth is a visual, emotive, educational big picture story of humans and their relationship with nature and food. This book is the published version of our Earth Rising installation at IMMA

What’s it about? The Feast upon the Earth brief to IMMA was to create an experiential installation to show the evolution of our relationship with nature and by extension with food. A timeline was the primary focus. The timeline was so complex, it morphed into a “timescape” which includes images and words highlighting how systems have evolved without taking the value of nature into account, a value which we have taken for granted as a limitless resource.

Climate change, ultra-processed food, a disconnection from nature and a host of other imbalances have arisen due to this gigantic blind spot. This informative book poses the question -  what can we do to redress this reality?
